Solar App Not Updating
Most solar app issues are caused by connectivity or syncing delays rather than a problem with the solar system itself.
If your solar app is not updating, it does not usually mean that your solar panels have stopped working. In many cases, the system is still generating electricity, but the app is not displaying the latest data.
The most common cause is a connectivity issue. Solar monitoring systems rely on an internet connection to send data from the inverter to the app. If the Wi-Fi signal is weak or interrupted, updates may pause or appear delayed.
Start by checking whether your home internet is working normally. If the network has recently gone offline, been restarted, or had its password changed, the inverter may need time to reconnect.
It is also normal for some solar apps to update data in batches rather than in real time. This means there can be a delay between generation occurring and it appearing in the app, particularly during busy periods or overnight.
If possible, check the inverter display directly. If the inverter shows normal operation and generation during daylight hours, the issue is likely limited to the app rather than the solar system itself.
Restarting the app or refreshing the data view can sometimes resolve temporary syncing issues. In some cases, restarting the inverter or reconnecting it to the Wi-Fi network may be required.
If the app has not updated for an extended period and the inverter shows warnings or errors, further support may be needed to restore monitoring.
